SEQUOIA MEADOW

Designed to Draw Near

Mountain camping coming in 2026!

What Is Sequoia Meadow Christian Camp?

Sequoia Meadow is a seasonal mountain camp located in the middle of Sequoia National Forest. Managed, maintained, and staffed by Ironwood, Sequoia Meadow will offer a camping experience that helps your church focus on worship, discipleship, and fellowship. In 2026, we will be open to serve campers May 11 – October 17.

How Is Sequoia Meadow Different from Ironwood?

Besides the obvious terrain and temperature differences, Sequoia Meadow will offer a different level of service than Ironwood—not a different quality of service, but a different type of service. Ironwood offers a full-service experience that includes activities, all your meals, and more. This level of service has one major downside: it costs your church more. Sequoia Meadow’s support-service experience will include fewer staffed activities, fewer staff-prepped meals, and more opportunities for you to enjoy serving your church. This level of service has one major benefit: it costs your church less.

Our goal is to work together with you to serve your group. We will have a small team of trained staff helping you. You don’t have to do all the work, but you get to do some of the work of service. This setup allows us to charge half or less of what you would normally expect to pay for a full-service camp. We recognize that this is a new way of thinking about camp since most camps are either all or nothing—cheap or expensive, a survival experience or a luxurious resort. By being in the middle, we hope to serve with you in a comfortable, exclusive environment that is affordable in price and effective in purpose.

Have More Questions?

Because this setup is probably different from any other camp you have attended, it will undoubtedly create questions. We would love to explain the ins and outs of how it works. We are still figuring details out as we listen to churches and learn how to serve them well.

This camp design is not a response to price pressures or staffing difficulties. It is a design born out of many discussions with churches about what they need and want from a camp. Churches use many different tools to accomplish their God-given responsibilities to worship, disciple, and fellowship. We hope to be one of the tools in your church’s toolbox.
